Did you know…
Your body only absorbs and uses a certain amount of nutrients from the food and supplements that we ingest. The remainder is literally flushed away from us through bodily functions like urination.

Why is Liposomal technology superior?
When a product uses liposomal technology, it means that it is far more bioavailable than regular vitamins and supplements, therefore your body absorbs more of the important ingredients than regular capsules/tablets.

LiposomePro™ Liquid Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid pigment that occurs in many sea animals, giving them the red/pink colour. From salmon and trout to shrimp and microalgae, the powerful antioxidant Astaxanthin is said to have many health benefits including healthy joints, heart, improved blood flow, increased energy, endurance and recovery after exercise, skin to name a few.

  • Supports a health immune system
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Help to protect your skin from UV damage. Astaxanthin accumulates in the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin, helping to block UV penetration and reduce any existing damage
  • Maintain cognitive function
  • May improve heart health

The Liposomal liquids come in a variety of amazing flavors such as: orange and vanilla, ginger, green apple and lemon. They are loved in our office, so we know you’ll love them too.

Does size matter?
Liposomes are made up of a double layer of phospholipids, these phospholipids are arranged in a hollow ball structure. The dietary ingredients are encapsulated within the liposomes cavities.

Scientific research has shown that the liposome size determines the stability of the liposome in the stomach, it also determines the amount of time the liposomes stay within the small intestine. Both of these factors have an influence on bioavailability.

The gastric and intestinal absorption of liposomes are highest at a size less than 500 nm. Our average liposome size is 145 nm, this ideal size explains the 12 times higher bioavailability formulation as compared to a non-liposomal supplement of the same dose. When shopping around for Liposomal supplements, be sure to question the liposome size as they may not be as effective in bioavailability.

To answer our question – yes liposome size is crucial for it’s effectiveness!
